February 24, 2022 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

FACL’s Mentorship Committee, in collaboration with Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, is pleased to present an evening of virtual speed mentoring over Zoom. Junior lawyers (with less than 3 years’ experience in practice), law students, and licensing candidates are welcome to attend as mentees at this exciting evening of mentorship, keynote speakers, and with a slate of mentors to speak to in small, intimate, rotating, breakout room sessions. Mentors will come from a variety of practice areas and practice types (big law, government, sole practitioners, to name a few).

Our event will be structured as follows. Mentors will rotate between breakout rooms, allowing breakout room mentees to speak to their allocated mentors for a certain period of time. Once time is up, mentors will join their next breakout room, and rotations will commence, allowing them to join a new set of mentees.

Speed networking rotations will occur several times over an hour at a set period of time, giving students the opportunity to make connections and ‘speed network’ remotely. We look forward to an evening of networking between students, junior lawyers, and senior lawyers alike, in a small group setting.

Dial-in and Zoom conferencing details will be provided by email to those who register. Please be reminded that mentees and lawyer mentors are expected to maintain appropriate, professional, and inclusive conduct during this event. In addition, due to the nature of this event, we have implemented an attendance cap. If you are unable to attend this event following your registration, we ask that you inform us about your cancellation as soon as possible so we may accept waitlisted participants.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
