MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT
As you may know, FACL is an affiliate of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (“NAPABA”) Northeast Region. All dues paying members of FACL as of August 1, 2013 are NAPABA members and have the right to vote in the upcoming NAPABA election. For more information about NAPABA, see http://www.napaba.org.
There are two contested positions for the 2013-2014 election year:
(1) President-Elect and (2) VP Programs & Operations.
(1) President-Elect
For the President-Elect position, the FACL Board has decided not to formally endorse either candidate, George Chen or Han Choi, but encourages all its membership to cast votes. Below are messages from each of the candidates, with links to further information.
Message from George Chen:
George Chen has the support of over 150 NAPABA members (including 9 NAPABA Past Presidents) to be the next NAPABA President-Elect. George’s supporters agree that the depth and breadth of his experience with NAPABA make him the best candidate for President-Elect. George is the only candidate for President-Elect with experience as an Officer of NAPABA, and he has served on the NAPABA board for twice as long as any other candidate for President-Elect. George’s vision and plans for NAPABA include enhanced membership services for everyone, including solos and small firms, as well as government and public interest lawyers. See George’s website at www.GeorgeChenForNAPABA.com for a list of his endorsements and for details regarding his experience and his vision and plans for NAPABA. Please vote for George to be the next NAPABA President-Elect!

Personal Message from Han Choi:
I’m Han Choi, and I humbly offer myself to become your next NAPABA President-Elect. As President-Elect, I will collaborate with you to make NAPABA a stronger advocate for its members and a conduit through which you can achieve your professional and personal goals. Read more about my candidate statement here <http://www.ballardspahr.com/~/media/Files/Professionals/Misc/NAPABA-Candidate-Statement>. As one of the few APA Office Managing Partners in the country and Chair of the Host Committee for the successful 2011 National NAPABA Convention, I have experience as a leader and consensus builder within NAPABA and the legal profession. I have consistently brought vision and enthusiasm for working with people and solving complex problems. If elected, I’ll bring this same vision, energy, and spirit of collaboration to NAPABA. I want to make NAPABA your NAPABA in a more meaningful way. Thank you!

Although FACL has formally endorsed Jin, and the Board encourages its membership to cast votes in Jin’s favour, we provide below links to information regarding both Jin and Michael:
