Improving access to justice and to legal information for Asian Canadian communities.
The Community Outreach Committee meets regularly to plan and execute a unique portfolio of social justice and access to justice related initiatives and events to directly serve the racialized communities which FACL reflects.
We also regularly partner with existing social justice and diversity oriented organizations to extend and promote various access to justice related services to Asian Canadian communities.
Examples of our work include providing public legal education seminars on:
- Employment Standards
- Wills & Powers of Attorney
- Ontario Works & Ontario Disability Support Program
- Old Age Security & Canada Pension Plan
