Centre for Immigrant and Community Services (CICS)
For 45 years, the Centre for Immigrant and Community Services (CICS) empowers immigrants in settling and integrating as contributing members of Canadian society through diverse, professional and innovative services. The Centre is collaborating with FACL in planning and providing new legal workshops tailored to the needs of recent immigrants and entrepreneurs.
The workshop would cover three legal areas: business law (entrepreneur law), real estate law, and immigration law. Many CICS’s clients are eager to begin their business here and would be interested in engaging the presenting lawyers.
We are looking for Mandarin and/or Cantonese speakers because the majority of the CICS clients speak these languages.
If you are interested in volunteering or if you have any suggestion about the legal workshop, please contact Lin Cong <litingcong@gmail.com> by Tuesday October 1.
If you have question or other program ideas for the CICS, please contact Anna Wong <annaspwong@gmail.com>. For more information about the CICS, please visit http://www.cicscanada.com/.
