2. In-House Counsel Committee
We are excited to announce the launch of our newest In-House Counsel Committee! The purpose of this committee is to build a strong community of inhouse counsel, provide a platform to exchange valuable ideas, and offer education and guidance on navigating the in-house role, among other initiatives.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and supportive members—at all levels of seniority—to join the committee. Whether you are new to in-house or a seasoned counsel, this is a unique opportunity to connect, share insights, and contribute to growing a vibrant network of in-house professionals.
If you’re interested in joining or would like to learn more, please reach out to Light Go and Lucie Zhang at lucie@lifetimedevelopments.com.
3. Website Project
We are looking for 1 volunteer to be our webmaster, who will be responsible for managing and maintaining the FACL website, covering aspects like website, design, content creation, technical functionality and ensuring a positive user experience. If interested, please email communications@facl.ca, outlining your experiences.
4. Race, Reconciliation and the Environment Interview Project
This project requires 1 volunteer with audio recording editing skills (e.g. using Squadcast or Descript), interest in race, reconciliation and environment issues. If interested, please email communications@facl.ca, outlining your experiences.
5. Podcast Project
The Podcast Project highlights the stories, voices, and experiences of Asian-identifying Canadian legal professionals. Our goal is to explore the diverse opinions, insights, and lived experiences that shape Asian-identifying Canadian legal professionals within and beyond the practice of law. We remain committed to building a podcast that connects, educates, and empowers the FACL Ontario community. The Podcast Project oversees all aspects of podcast production, from content planning and guest outreach, to recording, editing, and release.
We are looking for 1-2 volunteers to join the committee. Volunteers should have an interest in podcasting, media, or storytelling, as well as strong technical proficiency with the ability to quickly learn new platforms (e.g., Squadcast, Google Meet).
