Blakes’ Grit and Growth Mindset for Career Success Workshop

On Tuesday, February 27, 2018, Blakes is hosting a half-day workshop from 3pm to 5:30pm for lawyers working in-house who are women of colour. The session will be led by Aracely Muñoz, an expert on leadership, diversity and inclusion, and gender and racioethnic barriers in the workplace, and will cover:

  • How personal attitudes and behaviours affect career outcomes – even more than intelligence, raw talent, and other perceived fixed abilities;
  • How gender, race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation impact the way grit and the growth mindset are applied; and,
  • How internal and external biases moderate career outcomes

Iranian Canadian Legal Professionals CPD Event

Looking to get your CPD hours early? Iranian Canadian Legal Professionals (ICLP) is hosting a free (!) CPD event on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 10am to 1pm on Practical Legal Strategies on Drafting Wills & Powers of Attorney and Remedies on How to Protect Against Elder Abuse.  It will be at the U of T Solarium at Falconer Hall, 84 Queens Park, Toronto, and will feature Kimberly A. Whaley from WEL Partners and Stephen Offenheim and Raymond LeClair from LawPRO.
