The Women’s Law Association of Ontario celebrates its 2015 Annual Awards Gala on Tuesday June 9th at the Rosewater Room in Toronto.  They will be presenting the WLAO President’s Award to The Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, which marks the first time an organization is being honoured with this award.

June 22, 2015: Osgoode’s Internationally Trained Lawyers Day

Osgoode Professional Development has invited members of FACL join them for a networking reception on June 22 in celebration of internationally trained legal talent and the launch of their new online NCA Exam Prep Bridging Program.  The reception follows a day of programming for internationally trained lawyers, and will provide an opportunity to meet and greet members of Toronto’s diverse legal community.

The Honourable Justice Russell Juriansz will be providing a keynote address at 6 pm, following an introduction from Dean Sossin.  At the reception, OsgoodePD will also be launching and providing a demonstration of our new Online NCA Exam Prep Bridging Program.

Precedent Setter Awards 2015: Paul Jonathan Saguil

FACL is pleased to announce that our former Board member, Paul Jonathan Saguil, is one of the recipients of the Precedent Setter Awards 2015 by Precedent Magazine!  We are very fortunate that Paul continues to his excellent advocacy work as a member of FACL’s Advocacy and Policy Committee and co-chairs a committee on diversity at the Law Society of Upper Canada.
